Important Info + Policies

Please note: 

~ We have a 6 kid minimum so if by one week prior we have fewer than 6 children, we will not hold the pop up. Once we have 6 kids we will communicate so you know it's a go!

~ We have cats - sweet as can be, around kids and people a lot, but making sure y'all know! 

~ The $8 fee at checkout goes to Pools, a grassroots NYC-based platform that helps independent art spaces and organizers keep their doors open, which keeps shows and gatherings and art happening where we live, which keeps community and culture healthy.. and round and round we go! 

Drop off / Pickup:

• Drop off: 9:00-9:30am

• Pickup: 2:45-3:00pm

• Location: Roberto Clemente Ballfield (corner of Division and Wythe)

  ***In the event of inclement weather, we will switch the pickup/dropoff to Kent and S 11th (we will text if this happens!)

Communication:

• info@thepaintedcloud.com - Email us with questions / communication. Thanks for understanding we are hard to catch on the phone.

• (646) 675-7255 - If your child is in the studio and you need to communicate immediately for your child that day (ie early pick up), text is best for direct contact!

Packing notes:

• Label with name!: Pack all necessary items in one bag labeled with Young Artists’ Name!

• Limit the amount of items you pack!: Leave extra toys/books at home. Your child has an easier time navigating their belongings if packing is minimal. We have supplies galore to engage young artists!

• No Nuts!: Thank you for not sending nuts in snacks & lunches. Several young artists have extreme allergies.

Food:

• Morning Snack **One labeled bag for an ‘on-the-go’ no-nut snack - separate from their lunch bag! Something picnic-style & quick is best (ie not in a container) - ie apple or granola bar, etc. 

• Lunch**A separate labeled bag than the snack bag. Easy to eat foods recommended! 

• Water bottle (please label with name!)

Clothes:

• Clothing :: Please know our art projects can be messy/spills happen!  Some materials we use do not wash out of clothing. Please dress your child in clothes that are okay to get stained. 

• Sweater / long sleeve: The A/C in the building is GREAT..we encourage you to send a (labeled!) light sweater or long sleeve shirt to keep in the studio.

• Extra Clothes (esp for younger ages) : Pack a change of dry clothes in the bottom of your young artists’ bag if you think they might need it - we do not have back up clothes in the studio for accidents.

Payments:

• There are no refunds or transfers issued for cancellations for any reason.Thank you for understanding that this is necessary to keep our very small studio open.

Late Fees:

• A late fee applies when children are picked up more than 5 minutes after a session ends. The fee starts at $20 at 3:05 pm. At 3:30 pm, an additional $30 is charged.
